Pickering Postmen and the postmaster
are pictures outside the Post Office in
the Market Place in 1903. The post office
has since been converted into Boots
Chemists. On the back row, the man on the
far left is the postmaster Mr. F. Burn,
who was appointed on 8th July 1902. Third
from the left is postman William C.
Mayment. On the front row, the young man
third from the left (without a cap) is Tom
Taylor.
