Workmen from Pickering Urban Council
are resurfacing the road at the bottom of
Potter Hill, near the Memorial Hall.
Boiling tar is taken from the tar boiler
and spread over the road surface. Small
stones are added before the road roller
(seen on the left) finishes the work.
