Flood in Eastgate, 7 September 1927.
Two lorries pass each other on the flooded
road. The buildings on the left have since
been demolished to make way for Orchard
Close - Bungalows and the North Yorkshire
County Council (NYCC) Highways Department
have built a pedestrian crossing, just in
front of the two lorries.
