First annual whist drive of The Pickering Tradesmen, 31st December 1913. This may have been held at the Central Hall, which later became the Central Cinema and is now an auction room. The lady at the front right, holding a tea cup, is Mrs. Madge Johnson. The man with the moustache on the right is Charlie Turner - who used to wind up the church clock. the man on the left of the man holding a paper to his lips is Arthur "Codge" Frank, a huckster who lived on Potter Hill. The lady to the front right is Nora Smith who later worked at the Central Cinema playing the piano and as an usherette.
