A Pickering Methodist Sunday
School outing in 1913. The children in the
picture were being taken on a picnic
treat. The rulley pulled by the two horses
is about to start off from outside the
Methodist Church in Hungate with its load
of about thirty boys, along with other
horse drawn carts carrying the girls and
adults. They would travel past Newbridge
and onto Park Gates to enjoy games and a
picnic tea, before returning home to
Pickering.
