Silver Jubilee Bonfire, Beacon Hill, 6
May 1935. This giant bonfire was built by
locals as part of the jubilee celebrations
that were enjoyed in the town. The girl in
the white dress in the centre on the front
row is Lilian Ewbank, daughter of the
family who owned Mount Farm on Potter
Hill, and in whose field the bonfire was
built. On the left are Mr. and Mrs. Fred
