Sailors Day 14 July 1919. These ladies
with their stall at the bottom of the
Market Place are about to sell flags in
the shape of pansies to raise funds for
the Mission to Seamen. Behind the wall are
the London and north Eastern Railway lines
to Malton and Scarborough and the crossing
keeper can be seen in the signal box
(which has long since been demolished.
